The studio has already tried to screw around too much with his character to push it again I think.

The first time was the only his hands would light up.......

Him flying is part of the character.

If you see for example, in X-Men they got away with Storm, but she wasn't really flying but using the winds to go up or glide.....

By the way Mega, you read how they try to explain scientifically on the marvel universe on how/why spidey can stick to surfaces ?

No for Hunan Torch - I don't see how they could not have him fly with the control over heat he should be given - thermal dynamics and all that

as for storm.... she can't fly. never could. she just controls winds to allow her to glide , so even though they didn't utilize that ability much in the movies, they were true to the book...

Like TH said, I think that's just an incorrect rumour.

If I remember correctly the product sheets posted by Legends Action Figures showed a sketch of a flying Johnny Storm fig.
